dDIARY is an extremely simple to use, yet powerful software for the Diary/Docket Control/Scheduling of Events. All normal activity, Adding, Editing, Searching and Printing is done from one screen. 

An Event has Attorney initials, the Date, an optional time, two 20 character fields for the Category, Case, and  literally any information you want to record in an unlimited Event Description field.  

The Date field is valid to the year 9999.  The Attorney, Date, both 20 character fields and up to 20 characters in the Description can be used as Search criteria..

The dDIARY Add/Edit/Search/Print Menu Screen to the left is opened from the Main Menu.  The Advance Reminder Days is the Tickler Report number.  

You can Add, Edit or Search for one or more events; Browse for Events,  Preview or direct the Search results to the Printer.

Clicking the Find button to the right of the Attorney, Category and Case fields displays a list of previous entries for that field as seen in the screen below .  Highlight the desired field to have it automatically entered on the the Add/Edit screen field.  This eliminates manual entry  and reduces the possibility of a keying error.

 

 

 This screen is displayed when one of the Find buttons is clicked.  It shows a distinct list, in the example to the left, of previously entered Attorney initials or identifiers.

 

When you highlight the desired Attorney initials and press the Enter key, you are returned to the Add/Edit screen with that field filled with your selection.

 

 The Add/Edit Menu to the left shows a previously entered screen.  Click the Edit button to change the screen fields, Print to Preview, Search for different Events, Add to enter a new Event, Delete or Exit.

The Search window below shows the criteria fields.   

If no criteria is entered, the Search returns all Events. 

You can refine the Search by entering a Start and End Dates, the Attorney initials, a Category, Case and Description Search String.

The Search returns you to the Add/Edit Menu where you can Browse, Preview, Print, or Edit the results.

 

The Browse button returns a list of Events which meet the Search criteria.

The Search was for Attorney 'VIL' and displays those Events which meet the criteria.

You can highlight the Event desired and it will be returned to the Add/Edit Menu.

If you are dealing with a smaller number of Events, the Browse window may a quicker way to locate the desired Event.  The alternative is to page through with the scroll button.

 

The Preview button displays the Printed Output on screen.  The Print output sends the report directly to the default printer.

The Print Preview can also be redirected to the default printer.
